ABOUT US
Club A is a non-profit organization that provides a healthy lunch, fun activities with important life lessons, and English classes to underprivileged children in Liberia, Costa Rica.

Every Tuesday afternoon, volunteers are shuttled to Martina Bustos, a very poor community near downtown Liberia. There, students from Nazareth Elementary School are given a nutritious lunch before breaking into groups. Each group is led by a volunteer who has prepared fun ways to teach valuable skills that might not be taught in school or at home. Things like being honest, not harming animals, washing your hands before eating, staying away from drugs, following the laws, and many other themes are taught weekly. These themes are integrated into the bigger picture of helping the children read and write Spanish, master basic math, and speak English.
The kids in Club A have the opportunity to learn English from native speakers who teach the language using games, songs, and various activities that help the kids learn quickly. The ability to speak English can open many doors for people in Costa Rica, and may be the key to helping these kids break the cycle of poverty.
In the future, we hope to expand to help even more children and brighten even more futures through education. Please help us by volunteering or donating today!
